We bring the dentist
to your school.
Dr. Chris Frankmore, a pediatric dentist, screens students on campus so families never have to worry about missed appointments or long commutes.
The Mission
Children shouldn't miss class to see a dentist.
Smiles in the Rockies is a new school-based dental screening program founded by Dr. Chris Frankmore, a pediatric dentist who recognized a gap: too many Colorado children miss critical oral health checkups because getting to a dentist is too hard for their families.
His solution is straightforward. Instead of asking families to come to the dentist, he brings the dentist to the school. Licensed pediatric dental professionals screen students on campus — catching cavities, bite issues, and gum disease early, when intervention is simplest.
The program is free for students, accepts Medicaid, and requires nothing from schools except a room and a date. We're now enrolling partner schools for our first year.
“A five-minute screening at school can change the trajectory of a child's dental health for life.”
The Process
Four steps.
Zero hassle.
Schools provide a room and a date. We take care of everything else — from paperwork to screenings to follow-up.
We partner with your school
Administration picks a date. We handle scheduling, consent form distribution, and parent communications.
Parents sign a simple form
One consent form — digital or paper. No insurance information required. Takes under two minutes.
We screen students on campus
Dr. Frankmore and his licensed pediatric team visit the school. Each child gets a thorough, age-appropriate oral health assessment in about five minutes.
Families receive results same day
Every parent gets a written summary. If follow-up care is needed, we include referrals to pediatric dental providers nearby.
